Copycat Texas Roadhouse Beef Tips
Tender grilled sirloin tips smothered in a rich mushroom brown gravy — just like the Texas Roadhouse classic, made at home

Ingredients
Beef Tips
2 lbs.Sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 Tbsp.Vegetable oil
1 tsp.Coarse salt
½ tsp.Black pepper
½ tsp.Garlic powder
Mushroom Brown Gravy
8 oz.Cremini mushrooms, sliced
1 mediumYellow onion, thinly sliced
¼ cupButter
3 Tbsp.All-purpose flour
2 cupsBeef broth
2 tsp.Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp.Garlic powder
½ tsp.Onion powder
½ tsp.Fresh thyme leaves (or ¼ tsp. dried)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Preparation
Season and Grill the Beef
1.  Cut sirloin into 1-inch cubes and pat dry with paper towels.
2.  Toss beef with oil, coarse salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
3.  Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
4.  Grill beef tips for 3 minutes without moving to develop a sear.
5.  Flip beef tips and grill for 2 to 3 minutes more until browned on all sides.
6.  Remove beef from grill and set aside to rest.
Make the Mushroom Gravy
7.  Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
8.  Add sliced onion and mushrooms to the skillet .
9.  Sauté for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft and mushrooms are golden.
10.  Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir continuously for 1 to 2 minutes.
11.  Gradually pour in beef broth, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
12.  Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
13.  Simmer over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until gravy thickens.
14.  Season gravy with salt and pepper to taste.
Finish and Serve
15.  Add the grilled beef tips to the gravy and stir to coat.
16.  Simmer together for 2 minutes to allow the beef to absorb the gravy.
17.  Serve over mashed potatoes.
