| 1 ½ tsp | Ground cumin |
| 1 tsp | Salt |
| 1 tsp | Fresh ground black pepper |
| ¼ cup | Water |
| 1. Combine the chili powder (1 ½ Tbsp), garlic powder (¼ tsp), onion powder (¼ tsp), dried oregano (¼ tsp), paprika (½ tsp), ground cumin (1 ½ tsp), salt (1 tsp), and fresh ground black pepper (1 tsp) in a bowl . |
| 2. Brown 1 pound of ground beef or chicken. |
| 3. Add spices and 1/4 cup of water. |
| 4. Simmer gently for at least 10 minutes until the water is cooked off. |
| 1. No Chili powder? Substitute more of the other ingredients and add 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper. |
| 2. Add some accent / MSG for more umami flavor. |
| 3. Make adjustments to salt, pepper, and chili powder levels as you're simmering the meat. |
