1 can | Chickpeas, well drained (15 oz can) |
4 cloves | Garlic, roughly chopped |
1 | Shallot, roughly chopped |
2 Tbsp | Freshly chopped parsley |
1 Tbsp | Ground cumin |
1 tsp | Ground coriander |
3 Tbsp | Flour |
to taste | Black pepper |
to taste | Salt |
for frying | Vegetable oil |
1. Combine all ingredients except oil in food processor |
2. Form mixture into falafel balls of desired diameter (1 - 2 inches) |
3. Heat 1" of oil in a pot until a drop of water sizzles and pops. |
4. Fry falafels until golden brown,. |
5. Drain on a paper towel and serve hot. |
