1. Mix the softened butter (1/2 cup), grated onion (1 Tbsp), yellow mustard (1 Tbsp), and poppy seeds (1 Tbsp) in a bowl . |
2. Spread the butter mixture on the tops of the buns. |
3. Spread the butter mixture on the bottoms of the buns. |
4. Add sliced deli ham (1 lb) and swiss cheese (to taste) on each bun. |
5. Wrap each bun in foil. |
6. Refrigerate the wrapped buns for a duration ranging from 20 minutes to 2 days. |
