Homemade Pizza Sauce
Easy homemade pizza sauce.

Ingredients
28 oz canCrushed tomatoes
6 oz canTomato paste
4 clovesMinced garlic (1.5 Tbsp)
1 tspDried basil
1.5 TbspSugar
2 TbspDiced onion
1.5 TbspOlive oil
1 TbspDried oregano
¼ tspCrushed red pepper flakes
to tasteSalt
to tastePepper
Preparation
1. Sauté the diced onion (2 Tbsp) in the olive oil (1.5 Tbsp) for 2 minutes.
2. Add the minced garlic (1.5 Tbsp) and sauté for another minute.
3. Add the crushed tomatoes (28 oz can) and tomato paste (6 oz can).
4. Stir in basil (1 tsp), sugar (1.5 Tbsp), oregano (1 Tbsp), red pepper flakes (¼ tsp), salt, and pepper.
5. Simmer the pizza sauce for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. If during the simmering, the sauce becomes too thick, add some water.
7. Let the sauce cool down a little bit before using.
