1 cup | Broccoli, finely chopped |
1 cup | Fresh Spinach, chopped |

⅓ cup | Soy sauce |
2 tsp | Sesame oil |
1 tsp | Fresh ginger, finely chopped |
pinch | Chili pepper flakes |
to taste | Black pepper |
to taste | Sesame seeds for garnish |
¼ cup | Chopped peanuts for garnish |
1 or 2 | Green onions, chopped, for garnish |
2-3 cups | Brown or white rice, cooked |
1. Cook rice |
2. In a large sauté pan, cook the ground meat (1 lb), onions (1 chopped), garlic (3 minced cloves), broccoli (1 cup), and spinach (1 cup) until the meat is lightly browned and no longer raw. |
3. Break the ingredients into small pieces while cooking. |
4. In a separate bowl, stir together the brown sugar (2 tbsp), soy sauce (1/3 cup), sesame oil (2 tsp), ginger (1 tsp), chili pepper flakes (pinch), and black pepper (pinch). |
5. Stir the mixed sauce into the browned meat and vegetables and let it simmer. |
6. Wait for the sauce to thicken. |
7. In each serving bowl, add a scoop of cooked rice then top with cooked mixture. |
